The 6-Day Ridgy Didge Superstar Blanket is a variation of the classic 6-Day Kid Blanket crochet pattern. It works from the center out into a fourteen-pointed star with an exciting textured stripe called the Ridgy Didge. The Easy Crochet Pumpkin Hat is a textured double crochet baby hat with a little stem on top, a variation of Maiya's Roommate's Hat. Make them as a matching fall set!

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

6-Day Ridgy Didge Superstar Blanket
- A 14-point star blanket that comes out almost circular with chevrons
- Just like the 6-Day Superstar Blanket, with an adaptation of Round 6 to create a textured ridge
- Worked in rounds from the center out. Eleven Setup Rounds are worked once, then Rounds 2-7 repeat until your blanket is the size you want
- The ridge is made by turning the work, changing colors, and working front post double crochet. The ridges appear on alternating sides, so the blanket has no right or wrong side. Instructions are included if you prefer all ridges on one side
- Color changes every three rounds, or make it in a solid color or cake yarn with the included instructions for continuous work
- Finished with a super simple one round border
- Make it as a lovey, baby blanket, or throw

Easy Crochet Pumpkin Hat for Babies
- An easy, textured double crochet beanie with simple shaping and a green stem
- Worked flat in rows, then seamed, with the stem worked in rounds at the top and cinched closed
- Back loop only rows create the ribbed texture (a front loop option is included for less texture)
- Finished with a single crochet or reverse single crochet bottom edge
- Four sizes, from newborn to toddler

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Blanket: Variable. Blanket shown is 40" across.
- Lovey: 12 rounds
- 40" Baby Blanket: approximately 3 pattern repeats
- 60" Full Size Blanket: approximately 5 pattern repeats
- Keep repeating to make a blanket of almost any size

Hat:
- Newborn (shown): 14" circumference, 10" long before folding, including the stem
- 3-6 months: 17" circumference, [CHECK LENGTH] length
- 6-12 months: 18" circumference, 11" length
- Toddler: 19" circumference, 12" length
- Adjust the size by working a few more or fewer rows

MATERIALS NEEDED

Blanket:
- Shown in Stylecraft Special DK in White, Toy, Lincoln and Spice (one ball of each)
- DK or #3 weight: approximately 1200 yards for a 40" baby blanket, 2000 yards for a 60" throw
- Worsted or #4 weight: approximately 2000 yards for a 40" baby blanket, 2400 yards for a 60" throw
- Hooks: 5.5-6 mm for #3 weight, 6.5-7 mm for #4 weight. You will need a larger hook than usual to prevent curling, so have hooks .5 mm and 1 mm larger on hand
- Stitch markers
- Can be made in virtually any yarn and striped any number of ways

Hat:
- 150 yards DK weight yarn
- Shown in Stylecraft Special DK in Spice and Lincoln
- 4.5 mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle and scissors
- Easy to adapt by changing yarn weights, starting chains, and row repeats

GAUGE
Blanket: Gauge is not critical and varies with your yarn. The pattern guides you on choosing a hook that keeps your star lying flat without curling.
Hat: 3.5 stitches and 4 rows per inch in double crochet
